Am taking the little mare to a show tomorrow - quite a big local one, however, the last time she was shown was 2 years ago, when she was very fat, she was very sucessful in cob classes and condition classes??!! now she has lost alot of weight, looks alot trimmer and is alot fitter - bet she doesn't get placed now!!:rolleyes: My welsh cob is now considered "too thin" for M&M classes, it really is getting ridiculous!

Best of luck! Report back on your findings. Better fitter than fatter in my book but hey, I'm no showing judge!

At least you can breath easy knowing that she is not a ticking time bomb, if only more cob owners were like you! Well done for getting the weight off, have fun tomorrow even if you don't get placed be proud of yourself and your now trimmer mare :)

Oh good luck dude, last time i took my old sec d mare to m and m class i got placed last and ok i dont really care but i asked the judge what i could do to improve etc, i was very polite. She got very snippy with me and said my horse was underweight :O i was shocked, she was far from underweight i rode her everyday and she was pretty fit, she looked fab to me, but i guess not compared to those that were in ''show condition''

Good luck!!!!! And take it all with a pinch of salt. Unless they're being nice, of course!!!!
