I have had several friends whose horses have dropped down dead! It can and does happen.......Mind you, they were old horses...and they weren't emaciated. Horses do sometimes have heartattacks at a young age, or burst blood vessels in the brain etc.
And don't sheep just drop down dead?
And people?
I am quite intrigued by the defence actually!
I know... I am a sicko!
I am actually quite tempted to make a trip to Bicester next week! Maybe I would meet Myjack or Paddywhack! Where are they anyway?
Yes, well, Dozzie, i have heard of horses dropping down dead - i've probably heard of about 4 doing that in my entire time with horses. (30 odd years.) One was on the gallops, one out hacking at walk, two in the field. Just about the same number of people i've heard of, dropping down dead with no warning.
It isn't exactly common, imho, not something that happens very often, as he seems to be implying.

We may know that horses dont often just drop dead, but does your average jury member know that?
And could the prosecution vet stand up in court and say it doesnt happen? He cant because it does happen. The defence isnt going to ask how likely it is are they?
Well not if the barrister is any good.
I think JG probably has a very good barrister.
I am intrigued by his defence purely because of the reasoning he and his barrister are using
Hence I would like to go to the court to hear what is actually being said.
How early would a member of the public have to arrive to be allowed in? Has anyone tried?
