I've already been as it wasn't pleasant
horsey is tucked up in his stable with a big haynet and I've asked for him to go into the indoor for a bit later so he can stretch his legs.

hope everyone's ok - we've had trees down and Lorries overturned already up here

Amazed we still have power - had a small tree down on one of the fence lines, but once I sorted that, the horses have gone out. Dog kept me up all night as she is terrified of wind and rain! The lightening was incredible .....

Daughter's lesson will be cancelled, its just too dangerous, and I havent ventured out on the roads yet ...

Take care everyone.

Yes it's very blustery here in sw. Left all horses and ponies out... Feel very bad but I didn't check weather. They are ok, bum to wind, still grazing. Does anything bother these ponies???

Haven't ventured out yet but I can feel my house mobing. It's a total nightmare and there is just destruction out side. My lads out 24/7 but has a shelter/stable in his field

Mines been out all night and I've been awake with the wind and rain! Feel rather guilty :( he's out all day and will be in tonight all tucked up :)

It was pretty bad last night but it's calming down a bit now. Stay safe folks!

Was over 90 MPH this morning earlier around 7-8am, I threw mines out! safer out than in as roofs and doors flying off. Yard staff having to stay inside office at times for safety .

Hellish out there - trees etc all over roads on drive to work

now starting to ease off, phew but roof at work all over the carpark!

Its gale force winds here, thought I was going to get blown away this morning up the stables. Mine are out, but no doubt they are already waiting to come in to their nice cosy stables...

It's really wild in Fife. Lost lots of bits off our roof. Horses are huddled at their stables. Will venture out soon to top up their hay. Think it is easing off a bit.

its not to bad here now (in the hills of north wales) but it woke me up at 4 this morning! it was howling!!
on boxing day a panel flew out of my conservatory roof in the high winds  i had to run next door and get it! i then climbed up the scaffolding and tried the put it back, anyway i couldnt do it so had to go and ask very kind neighbour to fix it in for me, which he did as he didnt think a women should be swaying about in the wind on scaffolding  so i spent from 4am onwards walking up and down the stairs checking the roof every half hour!! thankfully its still there :D

iv left mine in today with the promise of some time out later :)

dogs have all gone back to bed too, whippets are such whimps!

Wish it was dying down here - it started in earnest at about 7 am with heavy rain. Field flooded so ponios are in the turnout area, but are hiding in the stables!

Hate the wind!

Still blowing really bad here in south east. We were supposed to be going for a lesson this afternoon but no way I feel safe taking the trailer out with that precious pony. I have left mine in with some hay, dont like doing it but dont want to try and get them down the narrow walkway into the fields. It is supposed to be easing later so may get them out for a bit or leave them in until tomorrow

Bit wild here in Cheshire too. Mine was out last night and I had a couple of pangs of guilt in the night! Will venture out later though. Lunging rather than riding though I think today!

This weather is now arriving in East Anglia - very windy earlier and continuing, but now just had unbelievably strong hailstorm during the ongoing heavy rain. Mine is out but will be in tonight to dry off in his PJ's - he has natural shelter in his field but can often be found in the worst weather standing in the most open part of the field! He's a geezer!

I have been up since around 2am with the noise of the wind outside :( It appears to have started to calm down a bit now but I know we have lost a fence and almost a shed at the yard...

Oh wow....I hope everyone's alright, its not too bad here in the NW bit windy and wild and we've had buckets of rain down in the night, but we've turned one out today and let one had a stretch of her legs in the indoor school - they seem fairly chilled, whether it kept them awake last night and that's why they're knackered or not I don't know.

I am waiting for storm to subside, was going to clip but no power, we have no TV, that is normal round here, Morrisons is on "The Generator", I am eating on trickle feed system in case power goes out.
Streets are full of rubbish, fallen masonry and all sorts flying about, it a dangerous place!

I live in a 4th floor apartment. The whole building is moving! I text my yard manager to check none of the little school ponies have blown away! lol! My beastie wouldnt go out in this weather. He is the only horse I know that doesnt enjoy turnout! AT ALL! If he was a human he would deff be a couch potato!
Think lunging might be in order today though, assuming the school roof is still on!!
