Sorry but I find this post quite upseting. The person who posted had a legitimate interest and asked a reasonable question - if other people were not interested in the post they should have just ignored it. I am not interested in many of the topics that people discuss on here but I am not compelled to tell them how disinterested I am. The original post did not ask what do you think of P or the people who practice P, it just asked for people who had gone to this event. It strikes me as rude that some people chose to hijack the post simple to let everyone know that P is not their thing, why do it?

Not interested in defending Parelli, but appears a lack of respect is the norm round here.

Probably need a 'CHAV' lounge for a few posters as they would feel more at home. Shame a few ASBOs can't be served.

Suprised the likes of JM07 have time to post. Personally thought you might have been called up for the olympics, we need a few experts on everything. I am sure the GB team would appreciate your critique !!!

Ha no i mean thats why im open about it, im proud im parelli. there are loads of people on this forum who play parelli they just say nothing, because they cant take the crp they get back im proud im parelli because that makes me one of them, the nice ones, not most of the other kids in the equine scene, the hate all the other pony club kids because of a rossete. Its pathetic. i went to pony club and quit because i love my horse and i have no interest in all the stuff that goes on behind the scenes. i was favourite to win XC so at camp somone(who got caught) filled my ponies feet with stones in an attempt to make him foot sore. Im over all that.
I have my parelli friends now THAT is what i meant.

Your adults and your as bad as th epony club kids, except they pick on people thir own age. Your trying to dampen a kids spirits. X

I'm going to be blunt....I'm not picking on you personally, I'm just against animal cruelty, which IMHO Parelli can be.
 
Oh dear - it wouldn't be a parelli thread without it going onto a few pages, mentions of popcorn and silly nonsense about parelli people being scared to ride their horses. I'm always surprised by the number of people who appear to know only freaky Parelli types who are almost cult like in their beliefs and are too scared to ride their horses - I've never met any.
I'm sorry you have had all this crap. I did try to point out that we're not all freaks but it appears that after a few posts we were back to Parelli bashing again - I almost heard Chandler Bing say "and we're back".
One of the people who instructs me does some Parelli stuff - like me she picks and chooses what she feels are acceptable (well I say like me but that's where I get any stuff from as I have never watched a DVD or read a book on Parelli stuff) but she was going to the conference this time so I'll ask her what she thought of it and let you know.
I'm not keen on the conferences or watching Parelli on TV as I think a lot of the stuff on there is to keep the audience entertained - like any shows - it's obvious when the cameras go to the audience that quite a few are my gran's age and are never likely to be on a horse again so these types would want to be wowed with horses dancing about ridden bareback etc and doing tricks. But I'm glad you enjoyed it and got some stuff out of it - don't be afraid to post more stuff on this subject, just no pics of Pat Parelli as he makes me cringe
