I'm afraid I can't remember the posters name, but there was someone who evented and posted on here a while back who before stopping posting had acquired a new little Thoroughbred called Jam who they were bringing on to event?

If you're lurking I'd love to hear how you are getting on, I always liked that little mare!

Is she on #twittereventing? I always enjoyed her updates as well.

Yes she is on TE but believe Jam was sold as evented most of last year under another rider. Can't for life of me remember her user name on here but know she used to post quite a bit.

It wasn't kit. It was the girl who had the nice grey schoolmaster. Name escapes me
I liked Jam, she looked classy

I have let her know that people are interested in Jam and she is touched that people remember her :). She is travelling with work at the moment but will log on when she has time. Jam is doing very well but will let Lex2501 update when she has time :) :)

Wow, how lovely to know you have been thinking of us Queenie! I'm sorry to have seemingly disappeared without any explanation but all sorts of things have gone on over the last couple of years and lots has changed. I've got a new job that sends me off around the world, and I also now event some absolutely gorgeous horses for a local lady. Those two big life changes left me with little time to post on here regularly!

Darling Jammie started eventing as a 5yo and was wonderful, even getting some placings along the way. Towards the end of that year I became busier with work, started riding for someone else and also took on organising the BE Ball so by November I was beyond exhausted and losing enthusiasm for anything other than sleep so I gave my horses the winter off. With hindsight that wasn't fair on Jam, particularly when I then expected her to pick up where she left off in March with little to no schooling. So the wheels fell off a little and I soon realised that she had felt so bold the previous year as she ran on adrenaline but actually I had a little worrier on my hands who needed to go back to basics and regroup. Whilst eventing the new horse, travelling huge amounts with work, and working long hours I just didn't have the time or energy to do that so I made the very hard and brave decision to loan her. Sadly that didn't work out for reasons I won't go into but she returned to me in September in a bit of a confidence crisis :( You probably all know how much I adore her so I decided that she deserved a no pressure home so she is currently enjoying living on the new forest hacking, dressaging and back to basics jumping making her new mummy exceptionally happy! So a bitter sweet ending to my journey eventing her but I think the best possible outcome for her after a stressful career racing.

Meanwhile I have a fabulous 8yo to event, and we are also backing a rising 4yo who was the highest scoring event 2yo at the BEF Futurity a couple of years ago so things are great!!

If you want to keep up with my adventures I have a Facebook page Alexis Ross Eventing which I will do my best to keep updated! Lots of pics of the newbies on there!

Oh, and Billy fans will be pleased to know that he is still my number 1, Apple of my eye and love of my life! We just have a laugh together nowadays and do what we fancy with no pressure :-)

I will happily resume posting in here if people are interested? Interest seemed to fade a little which is why I stopped :)

Always interested, but never have much to contribute! People need to comment more on threads as I realise it gets taken as a lack of interest, it's not in my case certainly. I love eventing vicariously haha.

Another here who loved reading your reports, was always inspired to get out and carry on eventing myself - despite ups and downs
( met you once briefly in RL (at Tweseldown i think??)
it is nice to catch up and hear about your adventures, sounds like you are having a great time :-)

I always love reading reports and its a shame that people seem to have drifted away from the forum a bit. Perhaps its because many, like me, are lurkers and tend not to comment on such threads, despite thoroughly enjoying them!

Its funny how certain horses catch your attention more so than others- Jam was definitely one of these, a smart, classy horse and its lovely to hear how her story progressed. It is a shame she is not still with you but I'm sure she's making her new person very happy.
