Hi I have a 158cm TB, which I think I have attached the photos of, (if not could somebody let me know how!)
I am just wondering if he would do ok in working hunters i.e his substance, conformation etc. The full body photo here makes his neck look shorter than it is. It would be Mostly local level. Or if anybody could suggest other classes he might do well in :) !

He is a fairly light type of tb so will probably look small in WH classes even at local level but that is no reason to not give them a go, if he jumps well that is the most important thing and it will give you a good start, otherwise I would put him in riding horse classes as he is more that type than a hunter.
You will need to turn him out slightly differently for the classes, plain tack for the WH, velvet browband for the RH, both can be in a snaffle and plain flat noseband if not ready for a double in the RH but your kit would be the same, tweed jacket, beige or cream jods, long black boots, shirt and tie.

Ah perfect thanks I was thinking that myself I just prefer workers classes lol. He is also eligible for ROR classes as he’s an ex racer do you think his small height would put him at a disadvantage in them classes ?

Not at all, just turn him out well and have plenty of manners in him. The ROR classes are lovely and such a good advert for ex racehorses.

At local level he could do the workers, check if their is a ride judge and if there is ensure he will behave himself under the judge. Type wise he might make a nice small riding horse.

A lot of local shows have taken to doing 'working show horse' which is like working hunter but for cobs, riding horses and the odd hack. Might be worth considering as you can keep up the Riding Horse turnout.

I've also seen some ror classes that have a style and performance over jumps element - think it's the Tattersales series?

I would say go for it as well as if he jumps clear, does a good gallop and has good conformation, he will beat others more to type who don't jump clear etc. Definitely have a look at the ROR challenge classes which have a jumping element.

Riding horse or ROR but no reason not to do WH classes with him. I've judged plenty of WHs where I've pulled in unlikely horses because type is actually only a part of what you're showing. At local level you'll get all sorts probably so go out and have fun :)

Agree with giving local level workers a go. I used to compete a palomino part bred arab in workers. I sometimes got some strange looks but a clear round and well executed show often put us in the ribbons and we enjoyed ourselves and even won a few. If it goes well definitely look at the ROR challenge series.
