I have to rebook my stupid trailer test which alone costs £115 but I completely forgot I'd have to pay to use the trailer and car again. I don't have £230. The DVLA must think horse people have tonnes of disposable cash. Well, I for one, do not. Miserable sods.

Is there no-one you can borrow a trailer and car from for the test or does it have to be a special one? What a bore.
 
I had to do the same thing after I failed my trailer test the first time. I needed to use the same car/trailer again as it has the markers on the car with tape etc, and you get used to doing the same thing over again. Can you ask the person you hired the car/trailer combo from if they have anyone else that needs only half a day and share...

This! Sadly

Yes I failed. I got a major for pulling out onto a roundabout and making some woman slow down. Apparently even though a bus was turning right from the exit to my left and technically should have left my way clear she razzed round it and this is my fault :(

On the plus side I only had five minors and the examiner said I had a really good drive until then. Which isn't a big plus as it makes me feel like they just want my money but still...

It'll be worth it in the end I'm sure but at the moment I just feel massively stressed by the whole thing. I was nervous enough the first time but now I'm terrified as I feel like I'm spending all mine and my BFs money for nothing and being massively selfish. We haven't been on holiday for four years and I used the money I saved for this year on this instead and the poor old boy is so sweet and supportive and I just feel awful. plus my mum gave me a wodge of money she really doesn't have spare to help as well and I feel like I've let everyone down now.

Oh, and I will have to buy a 4x4 and trailer when I pass but that'll be a bank loan I expect. I wanted to make sure I could do it before spending the best part of 5k! Also, I have to pay off the remainder of my current car loan before I can take another.


Right. Stiff upper lip back in place now. What a moaning minny!
