Just had one come up on a yearling that plays hard with his friends. Has any one any experience of any topical applications? I previously went down the draining route with another (show) horse unsuccessfully despite strapping and box rest etc!

I had one come up on a yearling last year, i have found box rest was the only really effective way of reducing it , to keep it down i had to keep her in for three weeks until the tissue had tightened up around it again and it didnt swell up again. the hock isnt perfect but hopefully it wont affect her showing career now.
