Does anyone know much about this saddle? I believe its a new model and I *might* be interested!
I had a saddler out and a Thorowgood cob was recommended for our little horse but he also mentioned that he's only take a 17" at a push as he's very short backed. I see this newer model which I believe has slimmed down panels and ive read on one site makes it more suitable for shorter backs but on another makes it more suitable for really round barrel cobs.
Now our lad is a Connemara so not a proper huge cob so if its the latter chances are it wont be a good fit and I need to carry on my search for a regular cob saddle.
Any advice or opinions?

Hi Ya, just seen your post. I had very much the same convo with my saddler and he said the same thing to me but recommended the adjustable gulleted version of the saddle. He thinks it is the best option for my wide but short little guy. I bought one on ebay and there are several on at the mo.

I've had a Cob plus and Cob saddle on my mare and the difference i found is that the panels were slimmer, there for sat too low on her wither and i felt i tipped forward a bit. I think they are suited to more flat backed really wide cob types.

ETA: yes, they take the same gullet (s-bar)

Didn't see these replies sorry!
Oh ok I thought it was a new model! it sounds a bit like its not for us anyway though as although ours has a fairly flat back and fairly big shoulder he's no massive cob!

I have my eye on those two saddles already ;) To be honest id hoped I might find one for £200 as you could a normal T4 but am thinking that's not really going to happen as Cobs just seem to get held onto more.
I wonder if I may get away with a normal T4- Pony is currently in a t4 PC model but its too tight on the shoulder. (a wider gullet just makes it sit too low on his wither)

Any other good places I could look for second hand?
