Thorowgood Girths .

i have one it is fantastic, my saddle has never moved with it and they are perfect for this time of yr, went out for a hack got covered in mud. shoved it in a bucket of water and gave it a give scrub with a brush came out good as new and left it to dry ready to use the next day.

I used to have one, and it was fine - however the best non slip girths I've found are the Professionals Choice neoprene ones - elasticated both sides too

Ahhhaa i have one but it is too long for my Thorowgood saddle - well the elastic bits are- it is on the top hole either side and the material is about 4 inches off the saddle flap so i am unsure what to do as i have a horse with the most prom withers and a sloping shoulder

If it's the cost of the Prof Choice ones, I'm pretty sure Shires do a cheaper copy

No its not the cost its the fact the elastic is too long as the material of the girth is not even on the flaps off the saddle - i suppose i could remove the elastic or have it shortened ..
