Anybody know much about thorowgoods? I have an all leather thorowgood saddle. I was thinking about it this morning and suddenly thought. “Thorowgoods are synthetic, and Kent and masters is the leather sister company” but my saddle is definitely a thorowgood and not a Kent and masters... was there leather thorowgood saddles made before k&m became a company? I would attach a picture but my phone struggles to do this! I would say it is an older saddle. Had a look on the thorowgood website and there’s nothing like it on there..! It’s black leather 17” adjustable. Has a high either and a deep seat. Anybody have similar? Or any ideas? I’m thinking of changing and getting a different saddle as it doesn’t suit me as well as it suits my boy. But I wouldn’t know what to price it at either!
 
If you phone Thorowgood and give them the serial number they will tell you exactly what it is. I have part leather cob saddle bought second hand - very pleased with it.
 
I had a T6 that was part leather, I think the T8s were all leather, but they did a few variations. Thorowgood are really helpful, if you give them the serial number they will give you all the information.
 
T8s are part leather, T6s are all synthetic leather look but thorowgood stopped making them as the flaps went very stiff in hot weather apparently. T4 are the budget suede model. I've got a t6 and friend has a t8 and she swears mine is comfier
 
Upon looking again I thing it must be a part and part leather and synthetic, although more leather than synthetic? It just doesn't look like any of the other saddles on their website. Where would the serial number be please? Giving them a call sounds like a good idea! But The only thing I can find is the size stamping. Thanks all so far!

The serial number is usually on a little label under the left had saddle flap, if you want to post a photo of the saddle somebody may be able to identify the model

I had a T6 that was part leather. They made loads of variations, that's why you need to ring and check what you have.

The serial number was on the underneath of the flap on most of mine I think

I will take pictures later. But I’ve had issues posting them before. Says the image is too large! But thanks I’ll have a look :)

I think this. I had a T6 which was leather look with leather girth straps. I thought T8’s were mostly leather if not all.
