Sat on the new leather Thorowgood at Badders and having one brought out to try on my boy as I don't think his saddle helps him very much. Anyone have any thoughts on them?

I also sat on the Wow saddle. WOW is all I can say. Really nice, if the thorowgood is no good I am seriously thinking about one of those, although the horse didn't help my back!

If you want a good saddle go for an Eric Swaine (?not too sure how you spell Swaine). He is the best saddle maker ever!!! Has totally the right idea that the part of the horse that carries your weight is flat not curved like many main brand saddles...No wonder horses get bad backs!
Rumour has it that Carl H (V famous dressage rider!) despite being sponsored by er hem another company will use Swaine saddles day-to-day and for warm-up!!!
They are beautiful saddles, well made and the buffalo leather ones stand up to just about everything you can throw at them.

I've had a really good look at the new Leather Thorowgood saddles back in February (pre-release at BETA)and I think they are fantastic

I've had a Thorowgood T6 for over a year now and it is so superbly comfy I swear I could sit in it all day. BUT - it has started rubbing my horse at the back and there are signs that it is bridging badly. Sadly, looks like I have to change it and because my horse is such an odd shape - short coupled and with a very dipped back - I'll have to have one made to measure. My saddler told me that Thorowgood saddles are LONG so that would make sense. If your horse is short coupled, take a long hard look before you buy. If he's long bodied, I'd recommend Thorowgood T6 to anyone.

I have the T6b Dressage and GP versions cant fault them could ride in them all day every day worth every penny
