Hi All.

I've just bought a 2nd hand thorowgood & wondered which model it was?

It has the new style logo pins, the extra placed front & back (4) girth straps but no changeable gullet.

Ooh and suedette knees and seat.

Thanks.

Not 100% sure but I remember reading somewhere that if it has a label there is a model number on there and you can phone thorowgood and they'll tell you which model it is.

I have a griffin but it doesn't have the new logo pins? Or the griffin badge on the stirrup leather loop? Does the gullet come out like a wintec?/ fairly obviously

It's most likely the original T4. They briefly made the T4 without changeable gullets (just before Wintec's patent ran out). They're very similar to the new T4 but the knee rolls are slightly different: the new ones have a crease in them.

If it's got a square cantle then it's a Cob saddle. If it's round it's either a standard or a highwither.
