Help how do you make them stop!!!

I have two Thorowgoods a dressage and GP and love them both but they are so squeaky, when a leather one squeaks and creeks you just oil them but what do you do to a synthetic.

Plaese help before I have to get the ear defenders out

I've had 5 and none of them squeaked! And I use synthetic 'leathers' as real leather ones can mark the flaps. Maybe your horse has a particularly athletic movement?

Ok thanks guys, I will try leather stirup leathers tomorrow. I haven't used them before because I thought that they would mark the saddle.

I shall let you know how we get on

I worked on the basis that if I was worried about how the saddle looked then I wouldnt have got a synthetic if you see what I mean, I love mine but its not a thing of beauty :-)))

But it hasnt marked it at all, so its limited beauty can remain undimmed!!! about 40 watt :-))

My other TG saddle used to squeak but my new one which I got this year for my newer horse doesn't...at least I haven't noticed, perhaps I may of just got used to the squeaking lol!

You can buy those nice soft synthetic leathers, not the hard plastic ones but Keiffer do some, there actually cost more than leather ones but there really nice and don't seem to squeak.

Having said that, TG have the changed material which is used on the flaps and underneath....its what Burberry use for their handbags, which it better wearing and do not crease up as much but personally like the older material, plus they don't put the trim round the edges anymore. So it may depend on when you purchased your saddles...maybe.

But I do love them.
