Keep Trying

Hi All,
Had a bit of a moment today during show jumping lesson when BOTH of my stirrups shattered at the same time whilst jumping. They were the black composite/nylon Shires Cheesgrater type and were only a couple of years old.
The problem I have now is that we are entered for a HT on Sunday and I am not able to shop for another set of stirrups tomorrow. I have checked my spares and found that I do have a new pair of the black Thorowgood Tuff stirrups but I am a bit wary of this type now - for obvious reasons!!! Can anyone advise whether they are safe or has there been 'shatter' problems with these as well?
I'll have to beg some from somewhere otherwise
