My saddle fitter has recommended one for my TB however....she didn't have one with her to fit (she did tell me what size and shape I would need)

I am very apprehensive about buying a saddle that hasn't touched my horse's back, but haven't come across any local sellers so was thinking of purchasing a new one off the net. My horse's shape is changing all the time so I would like something adjustable

If you have one, what do you like about it? What do you dislike? I have never used a synthetic before... is it much different?

Sorry for the soft questions!!

Thanks

I bought the high wither T4 for my ex-racer when I got him last year. It's very comfy and fitted him well. I've since got a leather saddle as I do some showing and the synthetic isn't suitable for that.

I have used the T4 on another ex-racer and a polo pony and it's sat on them really nicely. I've only had to use a narrow and medium gullet which are easy to change.

Only problem I've found with the T4 is that they don't hold their value. I've been trying to sell mine for ages! I bought it for £349 and they are being sold on ebay for half that

Hi there,
I've got the T4 high wither for my mare. We've had it for about 2 and a half years now and love it.
It's really comfortable, fits my mare really well and still looks as good as new.

I've got one for my ex racer. Had a real hang up about getting a synthetic to start with, but couldn't stretch to the leather version at the time. I now love it and find it really comfy and a great fit for his shape. Had mine 8 months, only cleaned it a couple of times and it still looks as good as new.

Ive got a t6, i dont know how different it is to a T4....but its synthetic but feels good quality. I find that im not close enought o my horses back on it however. Its very spongey and i think that leather offers more support. However.... the T4 might be compltely different!! As a saddle make... if my mare hadnt gone lame...id still be using the saddle. Very nice to look at aswel!!!

Thank you everyone for your replies!

I do have a leather one but it's an expensive one, that I would rather save for special occasions.

I think I'll give the T4 a whirl - if it doesn't fit it will have to go back!!
