Thorowgood Tuff Stirrups

Yup, I use them for every day riding, they are really light which makes the saddle lighter too, not much more I can say about them, except I would buy another pair although I have had them for several years now and they are still going strong :D :D

Since when have lightweight stirrups been a good idea on anything apart from a racing saddle? I dont get it. We used to be told they were dangerous and to have something with enough weight to fall off your foot if need be.

I use them. I love them. They are lightweight, strong, grippy, don't mark the saddle and one unexpected advantage - you don't get cold feet in freezing temperatures :D

I've also been using mine years with no signs of wear at all.

Majority in favour then :D The only stirrups I have left from my last horse are some Kwik-Outs I rarely used.

If you like the idea of the polymer but prefer a different type of stirrup, I think they are manufactured by Compositi who do a range of them (Mark Todd also does polymer stirrups). A bit more expensive than the Tuffs but nice :)

Oh god, a whole range! How do I choose?! :D And red grip ones too...

Ponio hasn't even been vetted yet and I can already see myself spending a fortune :D
