Senior mare (21yo) is not fooled for a moment, even though I'd just told her not to be so daft - you've lived next door to sheep for much of your life, so stop spooking at them through the boundary hedge, you silly old mare.

Me wrong, mare right :D.

Definitely not sheep. Very attractive creatures, I just hope that they stay where they are supposed to be, which isn't a usually followed trait for goats, I believe ?.

All the goats I know get stuck in the most random of places ? or like to hop on horses backs! I understand your mares distaste

Next door aren't great at containing their sheep, so I am a bit concerned that we might get escapees here ?.

Mind you, if that happens the senior mare might take them on - and I'm not joking.

We used to get nextdoor's goats hopping over the wall into our fields. She started tethering them eventually! Since the goats went, she got some sheep. They have stayed at home.:)
