Does anyone use them? I quite fancy trying one but think that it might be really awkward getting it on and off, also does it get in the way when riding?

The flourescent ones look a good idea for keeping the rain off but not sure whether to try one or just stick with a normal hi vis excercise sheet. Any experiences?

thanks

ETA. also how do I measure it? from front of saddle to tail?

I have the hi viz one, but i just kept slipping off my knee, i spent more time trying to keep my legs dry, than riding, in the end i had to put it under the saddle flap.
So i tend to stick to a normal one and wear waterproofs :)

I am not sure about measurements, mine was in pony, cob or full, so i just had pick the full size and it fitted my 16.2 tb very well

I love wrap-around exercise sheets (the horseware newmarket one is my favourite! :D ) but I never have it over my legs as I was told that it's dangerous if you fall off. I put it under the saddle flaps and it's quick to fit and remove. I used to hack to my lessons so it was great that I could remove the exercise sheet without taking the saddle off. It was also easy to put it on again at the end of the lesson, ready for the hack home. My horse is 15.2hh and the medium horseware fits beautifully, it's 4'7".

There great but only is you get the right size!! It goes around the front of my saddle perfect then put it around me and it falls down my boys bum and goes really tight around me so no good. Then when it goes tight there a massive hole behind me then my boy and my saddle gets wet!!

But i would defiatelty get one :Dx

I had the fluorescent wrap around sheet it cost me £22 from Robbies.
The 'hole' which goes around the rider seemed too big as I stayed dry but there was always a patch on Kelly behind her saddle which was wet!! I was forever pulling it forwards.
However, I'm planning to 'edit' it for this year and make the hole smaller so it should be great - other than that, keeps us dry and well seen and a great piece of kit for those dull wet days when you don't want to have to spend an hour wiping them down afterwards!! :D

I've never got on with these, they don't stay put and flap around if you go faster than a walk! The ones that go under the saddle are much better.

I have the Mark Todd fluorescent cut away design one and its great. Its only been a problem on a really windy day. On a normal wet day its kept me dry. The velcro at the front is designed to come apart should the worse happen and you fall off.
