Those Expecting Foals This Year

[ QUOTE ]
of course this foal belongs to a 10 year old child

Ahh, big problem then. If she's anything like the 10 year old I know, it'll end up being called Egg, or bumble or worm.........

ROFPMLMAO!!! Oh I love it!!

Thanks for that Amy......on that note, I'll cheerfully toddle off and let my stabled horses out now.

It's only 9am here so don't think I am too lax.

EGG!

I LOVE IT! Please excuse me but I think I may steal that suggestion

I did once have a horse called Sausage, and that was part of his registered name, who calls a horse sizzling sausage for Goodness Sakes? Mind, wasn't that winner of GTs called Rabbit?

the foal at the yard has finally been named Finale (Finn) because he is the last foa out of Sarah who will be by that stallion( died

)
and have def. one foal due in the summer and fingers crossed a second!!

Hmmm, I am still deliberating...

If a filly I have no ideas whatsoever, as I have sort of decided it will be a colt (not sure why, just feel it) - although quite like Thyme (posh name would be Set Thyme)

If a colt, I quite like Apollo and Saracen...

Posh names: Hollinhurst Trendsetter, Jetset Rebel, Professional Rebel, Pro Rebel...

Any suggestions are welcome!!!

Still LMAO here, Tia, your mares will be laying Eggs!

I see you have put the beautiful Golden to Ezzy, that will be a foal to look forwards too.

Although mine has a prefix May I is my stallions name.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ah ha!! Now I thought that was 'I' as in a roman numeral!

Im afraid not.
My horse is another that named himself as he has a very polite way of asking for things hence May I.
Same quirky sense of humour eh.
He was also a May the 1st foals and the two things stuck.

As he has a prefix, you can still name you foal that if you want to - also depends who you are registering with! If you register the 'May' part as a prefix, you will be able to call the foal whatever you please!

Just thought of another - May B baby

But it wouldn't be a pre-fix - just a name. I won't be breeding any more from her. Would I still be prevented from using the word May as the first word then??

I wouldnt think it would matter , i think one of my stallions foals is registered as May Be so i think most things go really.
Only checked it as sportznight mentioned the prefix thing.
You would have to check with your breed society when the time comes.

Mmm yes. As I was posting I remembered that we have had three or four 'May's' born at the yard - registered with the HIS. A May Faire, May Bee, can't remember the other two.

Amy's could be a May Day (I certainly feel like yelling HELP sometimes!!).

I hope not. I'm compiling a list on my pooter and I've got 15 at the moment split in colt, filly and either! That's "proper" names - pet name will depend on what it is. It's actually due on 15th April and if it's born that day I'm tempted to call it Titanic (Titanic sank on 15th April and the mare's called Sea Pearl!!) but if it's born on 10th April it'll be Maiden Voyage as that's the day Titanic sailed on her maiden voyage and it's pet name will be Frankie as 10th April was my father's birthday and his name was . . . Frank. . . .
