Those of you who drive range rovers or have had in the past ...

This is probably a bit late but I test drove a supercharged range rover this weekend. I LOVED IT! so comfy, lots of whizzy gadgets! Feels very sturdy and I think it would tow well. Felt a bit like I was navigating the Titanic as there was so much bonnet in front of me!

It is petrol but I worked out that it would cost me about £1 a mile to run!!!!! Diesel would be much better but it's a big heavy car so would still be dear I think.

Not sure if that's any help? Just read it back and it is a bit random really?! Oh well!

I have a Disco N reg (manual diesel) and spent some time trying to find one at that reg. Anything newer than that does seem to attract trouble and I have heard from any number of other Disco owners that once the manufacturers changed after N, things went downhill.

I have had work done on it but thats purely down to old age wear and tear in the original parts. Its on 150,000 miles now and still very reliable and as an alternative to the Rangey I am very pleased with it.

Unfortunately landcruisers is hard to come by , a good clean with one with reasonable mileage anyways . Basically the crap as been driven out of them .

Im heading more for the discovery now , Still havent mind made up , just keep searching I suppose .

Fortunately, don't need too much money to fill up two tanks over here as petrol is cheaper than water. Always get a bit of a shock when I come home (and stick to a Mondeo instead )
