Were you as annoyed as me at absolutely no mention, not even the briefest clip, of Britain's eventing & dressage medals at the WEG?? What do equestrian sportsmen and women have to do to get some recognition.. At least AP finally got some appreciation.

Or Yogi for coach of the year given how much he's done for Team GB?

Really annoys me how little coverage the sport gets at the best of times, let alone during Sports Personality :(

Unfortunately missed Frank Williams getting his award but the F1 summary at the end was very short as well for a major sport covered by the BBC even if this year it was overseas winners of the championships. The one thing re equestrian sports which crossed my mind was the bit which they did about women doing well and for the men to watch out - all the women featured have done brilliantly but they are in women only disciplines whereas horse sports are mixed, men and women on equal terms and would have fitted into that much better.

It is ridiculous, and how much was there about golf?! There was the briefest clip of Mary King I think show jumping at WEG but no mention of the fact that they won team gold amongst all of the other equestrian medals.

Yes all of the other acheivements mentioned are commendable, but at the end of the day on paper in terms of medals no other English sportspeople did as well as the equestrians did!

I got the feeling it had something to do with the fact they featured the success in the Olympia programe earlier in the day - still ridiculous especially seems they showed a massive clip showing Spain Winning the World Cup?!?!

To be fair I do know of plenty of other sports in which Britain have done well in this year but never got a mention during the programme. They have so much to fit in they just have to choose what is the most popular with the public.

And before you all attack me I would like to see more recognition for the equestrian sports!!!
