Those of you who wear glasses

I have a pair of prescription sports glasses/goggles - they are not the prettiest, but they have an elastic band rather than arms, so they are comfortable and secure fitting.

As an added bonus they adjust to the amount of sunlight so they turn into shades on a sunny day.

I would wear contacts but since I have injured my eye in the past I prefer the goggles due to the added protection they give.

I wear my glasses all the time, ia cant see without them not even to muck out! I have worn mine for all riding activities including hunting and eventing and have had a nasty fall in them and they were fine, didnt even break.

I am very grateful for my glasses as I got bitten by a dog at work that I was helping to anaesthetise and it tried to bite me in the face, luckily it got my glasses and chomped on them, my face escaped with a scratch but my glasses were well chewed, unfortunately it them bit my arm and it has scared so I wont give up my glasses.

I would add to those who say contact lenses all the way for me - I hated wearing glasses when riding because they kept slipping :D And being head butted by one horse whilst wearing mine also put me off wearing them around horses, luckily they were an old pair I was wearing whilst I had an eye ulcer as one lens popped out and was nearly crushed under foot by the horse!

I used to hunt without glasses or anything, I quite liked not being able to see the scary fences clearly! I now hunt in contacts, but don't wear anything for hacking, I let the horse find the way! Just out of interest, how did those with corneal ulcers get them; was it from wearing 24/7 contacts? I use daily disposables which I assume are safer? Thanks..
