Anyone got or have any comments on a ford transit conversion with as new latest ifor williams container? If found one that looks great but dont know much about horseboxes and want to get the best i can with the cash i have.
Its a ford transit 90T 350 (what ever that means!) 52 reg with 67 000 miles, fully serviced with new mot and tax. Upgraded rear suspension, professionally fitted with aluminium floor. Advertised for £7995 ono.
What do you guys think. Dont know how to put pics on here but it is on ebay.

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!! Ifor Williams bodies on transits wobble about too much to be safe!! I know 2 people who have had them and they are perched on top at a height that means the slightest movement of the horses inside sends them swaying :( Awful.....

Agree with jenni999 I know someone that had one and quickly sold for something lower to the ground.

I have one of these lorries, but a pre ifor williams model.

What i like about my lorry.....
Fab to drive, easy if you are not confident, ford, so cheap to repair. i have had much fun with my lorry and I am happy to go to shows on my own as there is no hitching up a trailer. Cheap to run, insurance not bad, standard MOT. Tax on older models quite expensive considering how often your out in it, but you can SORN it over the winter if you do not go out. you are not driving around with the wasted space of a living area you will hardley use.

However... the ramps are steep, They do sway abit, you do hear your horse moving about so you have to learn what is normal movement and when you need to stop and have a look.

I have had a friend travel in the back of mine to check how my horse travelled. He is not a good traveller or loader. however we get by. i have made modifications to my box and guess what!! All the parts I used were from ifor williams.

If you are not made of money I think they are a good options!! :)
