those on full livery - how often do you see your horse ?

I'm on part - I usually make it up five times a week on average. I certainly don't manage to ride more than five times a week, so I'm making a conscious effort this year not to "pop in" every day when I'm not riding, and use two evenings a week to sort my life out / do housework / get some exercise. I'd love to see her every day, but realistically on the weeks that I do, I get nothing else done at all apart from working.

When I was on part-livery very locally I went most days and rode in evening during week and probably averaged 6 days a week. It was a busy yard with a lot of evening activity.
When I moved to a trainers yard a 30 minute drive away the journey especially in the winter was a big turn off. I was the only livery on yard in the evening and the YO wasn't on site. Cold, wet, snowy nights driving in rush hour traffic to a deserted yard meant I practically gave up going more than once or twice in the week and both days at weekend. I moved yards within a year because I hated not seeing him and the YO turned out to be a liar.
Now I'm at a DIY yard but pay a friend to do him Mon- fri because of variable work commitments. I go at least 3 days a week if I'm not travelling away and both weekend days. We share duties at the weekend so that we each get one day when we don't have to go back in the afternoon so we can go out etc. Best of both worlds as he's managed as an individual and loves his "auntie".

5 times a week mostly, sometimes 6. I have a 35-50min drive to the yard depending on work or home. Yard has wonderful facilities and great care but couldn't afford to go everyday with the extra fuel costs so chose that when the pony has a day off so do I :-).
