When I got my horse the agreement was that he would be put on working livery for reduced stable fees, he would be shod by the YO because he would be working quite a lot for the yard and because he was on the feed the YO provided she would feed him too - awesome deal really.
Unfortunately this deal is now off :(
Just wondered if anyone had a similar deal and if this was the norm?

Working livery on my yard is basically full livery but we have use of the horse. We arrange all vet and farrier treatments and all feed / bedding etc is included in the price.

Up at Trent Park north of London, so pricey livery prices, and this is from six-ish years ago, for £90 a week, your horse was fed, watered and ridden in lessons for two hours a day. One day off a week he was all yours. Think you got a lesson in on that deal, too. Probably a bit more now.

My mares working livery deal is college pay for everything. I can ride at weekends, but if I hack out or compete at weekends I have to pay for shoes and worming I think. I can't believe some of the prices places charge for working livery.
