I've just started Daisy on a new NAF product, Slimline, and its fab!. We already did every other weight loss measure going, soaked hay, restricted grazing, regular exercise and low calorie chaff but she couldn't shift the last 40kg that the vet wanted off. Slimline seems to be doing the trick and she looks great. I don't sell it or anything

, just know that lot of people find it tricky to get weight off and thought I'd recommend it.

Does it help them lose weight then? I thought it just provided extra nutrients for horses on restricted food.
If it does help them to lose weight I'll put mine on it, he needs to lose about 40Kg.

I think it's supposed to have some extra nutrients to try to maintain a healthy metabolism (avoid insulin resistance), similar to lots of human weight-loss supplements. I've been tempted to buy it before, I might just give in and give it a go...

How does it differ to Top Spec Anti Lam balancer or Baileys Lo Cal balancer? I'd be really interested to know, as we feed TS at the moment, and add Mag Ox for their feet.

It's a constant battle with one of ours so if this is an improved product then I'm all ears. Don't want to change purely for change's sake though if it's no different.

Would you be able to post the nutritional information on here from the container? Thanks in advance if you can.

As far as I have heard it's a general purpose supplement with extra magnesium to help insulin resistant horses. I have my horse on pure magnesium (EA Magnitude) to see if it will help the weight loss but nothing so far... once the pot has run out I may give the NAF stuff a try.
ISH_Mad - I think I am right in thinking that Anti-Lam and Lo-Cal are just low-calorie balancers. The NAF stuff has the extra magnesium already, so it may work out cheaper feeding the Slimline instead of the TopSpec and Mag Ox. Once NAF get their arses in gear with their new website, the info should be up on there as it is with all their other products. I am planning on telling NAF how "naff" I think their promotion of their new products has been!

From the information I understand that its a broad spec vit and min supplement with added things to help speed up the horses metabolism. I was feeding equivit anyway and its only very slightly more expensive so I thought it couldn't hurt. The tub is at the yard but I'll have a look at what it says and post it later
