Those suspicious Eastern Europeans now in Lincolnshire apparantly

we had a note on our yard put up warning about 2 eastern european men taking pictures of horses in fields to 'steal to order'?

Im on the Lancs/Merseyside border though?

I think it is good for everyone to be aware no matter the area but i am starting to wonder if people have heard about them and it is changeing like chinese whispers to other areas. We do normally get 'real' warnings but this was picked up in a text by someone, sent to a rideing school and then one of there pupils warned me. I am glad they did eventhough i have read posts on here but i have not heard of any real sightings.
Now i have said that some of our lot will be missing.

Perhaps I shoulsd have read the forum before putting up my post.

As soon as I received my text I thought I better warn everyone asap. After reading everthing I does seem a bit like chinese whispers or these guys are doing a tour of the country? According to my text the are in Oxfordshire!!

I do personally think it is good for things like this to be repeated. I didn't come on here for a few days and i am sure there are many others that don;t and it can be new news to them. With Bank End Rescue saying someone was there does make it sound like they are travelling the country.
Doesn't harm for us all to be on guard

Maybe it is a bit of a false alarm, but it does seem to prove that something like this works for items/horses that are stolen.

Maybe this could be things to come and the way us in the horse world can alert everyone of stolen items. just my opinion but it seems to work.

A good idea. I am always out and about and ask for details of stolen horses/things.
It does work, we have had successes and horses returned to their owners.

"There have been three sightings of suspicious men with Eastern European ascents photographing horses. These could be a steal to order gang. The men have been seen at shows and events and even in horse fields. They have been seen in a white van reg
N253 X** and a red land cruiser. Police are treating this as suspicious. Please contact them urgently if you see anything".

I have no idea if this is genuine or not or where the information came from originally but, it seemed to me to be prudent to let you know what we have been told. I am in Glous

Apparently they were spotted in Hockley Essex yesterday.

do you think it's a hoax?

but just to be safe be on the look out.
