those tail pulling comb things....

i have one, and have started using it to sort out pickles tail (he detests having it pulled & TBH i am useless at pulling it) but does anyone know how you get it nicely finished, i can't seem to get the hairs short enough to get it looking good.

any suggestions?

if you take the bulk of the hair out using the thinning gadget you can then finish it off with a dog stripping knife, I find the blue mikki course ones good

Well I bought one, I guess you mean the rake? And its fab for getting the thick of it done, and much quicker.

I have the razor comb still and use that for the last few stragglers, its from boots, can't find a piccie sorry, but is where the hair accessories are. It has a bright plastic handle and a metal top that incorporates a razor blade. It will nip the other bits off that the rake misses.

Which one have you got? I use the the coarse one to start with and then a fine one to finish off. There is also a super fine one available from Clippersharp, which is great at getting at those annoying short hairs.

Medium, I think, a black plastic one.

Razor comb will be fine at snipping the top couple of hairs, and cheaper (much cheaper) than buying a fine one aswell!
