those who feed linseed...

Anyone know anywhere that does sample-sized packs of microionised? Want to try my boy on it, but he's the fussiest creature on the planet and sick of wasting money on things he refuses point blank to eat :rolleyes:
 
I have seen small bags in nearly every tack shop near me. Go in and have a browse... Usually found near the supplements section.

Glad you asked yhis question, I'm definitely going to order some this week for my boy (plus I daren't ask anything or post anymore, because everything I say seems to come out wrong lol) :D
 
When it's cold I boil the kettle and add it to my micronised linseed before adding it to my horses hard feed. It creates a really nice linseed mash, without any of the snotty overspill that always used to cover my hob when I had to cook whole linseed from scratch.
 
Another who feeds micronized in speedibeet. Horses love it boiled but sadly you lose the omegas that way. Re is it safe to feed freshly ground. It's a personal choice. http://www.balancedequine.com.au/nutrition/linseed.html

For a long time I was unable to source micronized over here so after loads of research I bought whole seeds and ground them fresh. Fresh ground must be kept in the fridge but I just ground it each feed. A right pain I can tell you.
