do you bother alternating the flavours you feed? Does it actually make any difference, and does the dog actually notice?

Much to my disgust my two have decided they LOVE JWB, and are not keen on the other hypoallergenic food I can get at half the price (Country Pursuit or something like that?)

So far we have used two sacks of lamb and rice, so I was wondering about a change next time

We are switching back to JWB Ocean Fish and Rice after a long, boring saga involving an allergy to Arden Grange and some seriously crap condion on Royal Canin.
They seem very happy on it so am not looking at alternating the flavours, although Dogfoodanalysis.com (don't even look if you are a stressyhead mum like me...) maintains that there isn't enough meat in it.

There seem to be a lot of hypoallergenic foods on the market (I nearly went mental in Pets at Home the other night) however he (the one who likes going bald periodically) has been on JWB before, did well on it, and I think a changing brands four times in 18 months would be a bridge too far.

Okey dokey

They seem to be doing really well on it, eat it very enthusiastically, and have lovely shiny coats and good condition.... I will just look away every time I pay for it

Beastiedog is on the Senior/Light version of the food and I buy 3 bags at a time, one duck, one fish and one lamb. I think it's lamb. Sometimes she gets the turkey one.

She loves it, eats it really well. Esp if you add a little warm water.

HH, did your dogs really have crap condition on Royal Canin?

As you know I mainly feed raw, having a few more dogs lately I'm feeding dry to some and we were trying out Burns which I totally don't recommend, it wasn't very palatable and personally don't think it was better than lower priced feeds. Now on, and permanently on Pro Plan. Fantastic feed, the dogs love it and they're looking good on it.

When weaning previous litters on another brand I didn't have great results but the feed is doing this litter great and I judge alot on what comes out the other end!

Have you looked online? My local feed merchant wants between £43 and £47 a 15kg bag for Pro Plan but I'm paying £32 and £35 delivered free of charge online.

SM, yes, very dull coats, people actually remarked on it. I realise I may be in the minority, I appear to own the most contrary dogs in the universe.

I have noticed a big difference to the boy in under a week since he went back on JWB. Not pulling his hair out being the main one!

My labrador ripped her hair out on JWB, but is fine on Burns! Whippet puppy loves her JWB though and seems fine on it - will move her onto Charnwood worker like my other whippey & lurcher when she's off puppy food though.

I moved my labrador to it as a puppy from Chudleys (yuk) that the breeder had her on.
Needless to say, whilst her coat got better after a few weeks she developed a sever intollerance to it that got so bad she ended up on pro-biotics from the vets.
The vets receptionist new how desperate I had got with dog foods, and recommended a company called the Natural Dog Food Company, it's not the cheapest, is completely natural, and recognised by the BRAHMS society (holistic society)
We've never looked back and she's now a year old and had no problems since.
The owners of the company are incredibly helpful, will send out samples and if ordered online before 12pm will be delivered by courier the next day.
