Those who hack out alot

I've dropped it out my pocket more than once, looks like a bum bag is the way forward, I shoved it down my pants today :o No other option though!!

When I wear my chaps, I put my phone down the side. If I wear boots, I try to wear something with a pocket!
If its raining I have a coat, and if it's cold I have a high vis gillet from Aldi with the perfect pockets :)

I'm really bad as I never take it with me. I always tell my mum where I'm going and how long I'll be so have never bothered with a phone. The only time I have taken it with me is when there has been no one at home but even then I usually forget, my HO is always nagging me to take it!

Either in the pocket of a hi viz or in a phone/ipod armband. I had to buy a new one for new phone and it's big on my arm. You can make them from a sock though.

I'm amazed at how so many put phones in their bras! There's not enough room in mine :o I used to use the bum bag of shame (handy for keys, sweeties etc) but I now have one of these http://www.woofwear.com/news/news.php?id=30 I wear it on a belt as the clip looks a bit flimsy.

For the naughty people out there, you can fit a packet of ten fags and a lighter in it too....

Unless it is blazing hot I have a suitable pocket. I tried the waist band of my jodhs but found there were two problems, the touchscreen being operated by my belly and the phone travelling south when I trotted. So now it is either a bum bag or a small drawstring stuff bag.

That's great forward planning, but wouldn't work for me, as I can never decide where i want to go. I usually let Alf choose the route

And my mum lives several hundred miles away

Either down the side of my chaps or in an armband designed for the purpose. I prefer to carry them on my limbs rather than in a pocket just in case of injury. As an aside, my husband took up running quite seriously a couple of years back. I laughed at his bumbag, but apparently it is called a running pouch. ;)

I put mine in my hi viz tabard pocket as I like to take photos while out and about; but I do wear a bum bag too with hoof pick and bits in. Think I might start carrying a whistle too as I think that's a blinding idea.

String and folding pen knife are really good ideas, and at the moment have seen some brilliant wire cutters that come in a leather case on a hunting gear web site, Trouble is I'm so health and safety I'll have to take a suitcase strapped to my back full of all my " just in case bits and bobs" lol

Don't carry one, unless I'm expecting a call.

Pocket is full of bailing twine, which will usually deal with any emergency much more effectively - I don't know anyone who's managed to repair a broken bridle with a phone!

I carry phone in jods zip pocket. No idea why. It keeps nipping me in the hip and there is no signal out where I ride.

Jodh/jeans pocket, or if I don't have one, down my boot if I'm not wearing decent leather ones. No room in my sports bra. That thing's like a vice ;)

Ha! Never tried one of those, I wonder if they do them big enough for me. Only real reason I wear a body protector is it stops me getting black eyes! ;)

Shock absorber - it's useless for storage of day to day items, but it doesn't half keep rogue breasts in check!

I don't know anyone who's managed to call the emergency services or vet with a piece of string!

Years ago before smart phones my phone would comfortably fit in my jods pocket. Now phones are getting bigger plus if you have a case on it (a must for me forever dropping it) they are too bulky. I bought a very cheap thin gilet/body warmer that has two pockets which is thin enough to be worn in summer. I can just fit my phone down my half chaps but it is tight!
