Nearly 3 years ago I broke my wrist and it needed to have a plate put in it.
It all healed up well and my only issue was that my hand / fingers had reduced sensation for around 6 months after the operation. But sensation has been back to normal for around 2 years now.

However, for the past month I've had reduced sensation in 2 of my fingertips. I also noticed that when I got cold the heel of my hand went numb.

Before I go to the hassle of trying to get a Dr appointment, am I just going to be told this is normal following that operation?

It may be worth getting a Dr appointment just to check it out especially as it's been find for 2 years and this is just happening.
I've broken both wrists (separate times) but luckily didn't need anything more than a cast for either of them.

I broke my wrist same one twice, but didn't have a plate in.
My friend had a plate put in her leg and has just had it removed as it was causing her pain, might yours be something similar?

Could it be the beginning of completely unrelated carpal tunnel syndrome? It's very common.

I broke both bones in one wrist a few years back and have no numbness, but it wasn't plated.

I had serious numbness after the operation (I think they had to shove stuff around quite a bit and upset the nerves). I was told it could take 6 months for it to be 100% normal and they were right. It's only now 2 years later that it's feeling odd again.

Broke my left wrist a number of years ago, it was plated. I’ve never had any of the symptoms you describe, so would suggest at least a conversation with doctor. Could it be that something has moved?

Did mine about 10 years ago.. and am still noticing improvements in mobilitiy and sensation.. it was a bad one the docs wanted to operate and I said no.. I still mindfully exercise it . It's quite hard to see the difference to see the difference between it and the other. It's important to not put an end date on "healing".

MTA I had physio after I cam out of plaster and the physio said I made the right decison about not having the op.

I broke my wrist about 40 years ago. My hand, left to its own devices, tends to veer off towards my trunk. I think that automatically I compensate for this without noticing. It's certainly not got in the way of riding my horse, grooming, mucking out etc. It a bit achey in the cold weather, but nothing an aspirin and a cup of hot tea won't improve.

I had screws in my elbow 15 years ago and a plate in my foot last week. In both cases I was told they don’t normally need to be removed, but it is not uncommon for them to loosen/move in which case they might need to be removed. Is see my gp and ask for an ortho referral.

I would think it's worth a telephone appointment to check it is nothing of significance. There might be some therapy which would be of use.

Ring finger (the side closest to the little finger) and a tiny bit on middle finger.
It’s just the pads of the fingers.
Got cold today and the heel of my hand went numb again.

Get it checked out but it’s not likely to be from your wrist… (strange nerve distribution ) sounds more like raynauds to me
