Those who have foals born this year......

was yours born early, on time or late?

And by how many days early/late was he/she?

we have one due the end of the week, but will be early as mare is waxed up and very restless. and her other foals where early. but i know a friend who has a mare as she hasnt had it and it was due 2 weeks ago.

My friend and I both had foals due this year her mare was due on 20th march and mine on the 15th April, they both foaled within an hour of each other on the 21st April.

My guy arrived on sunday, 2 weeks to the day early!! No problems though and he's just perfect!!! The vet said, when the foal decides to come there's not much you can do about it!! Always the logical sort!! I was talking to someone who once had a mare go 2 months overdue!! I think that must be some sort of record, and the foal was tiny apparently!!!

lol. My friends mare went 5 weeks over last year and i thought that was bad.

The reason i did this post was that i've been told by a lot of people that foals are coming early this year and one of my mares, Teazle is bagging up pretty rapidly

You know thats weird cos my vet was telling me that every single on of his foalings has been late this year!!!

Im a bit worried about Millie as she is HUGE and isnt due till 19th July - I think she is going to have an ELEPHANT.

Sorry, can't help, as I bought mine in foal and I had no idea when she was due, seller couldn't remember when she put the stallion in with the mare

. Lola didn't help me much either by giving no signs whatsoever and it was just there one morning. Maybe for the best, no waiting up, or fretting on my part that way.

I hope that all the HHo foals, whether early or late are doing just fine and those to come, safe and easy deliveries to you all.

Well this years foal (Maysie) was just a few days early but when Ginny foaled 2 years ago she was 3 weeks early so I had been half expecting an earlier arrival.

Super was on time - out by only a few hours

They were all born within 2 days of their due date bar 2 mares who went a week over!! 11 Mares altogether!

I had two foal this year, one was two days late and the other was 6 days early - sorry, that probably doesn't help does it?

Lottie was 15 days late, she was a maiden mare

14 days after the average due date.

No idea whether our 2 were late or early or not but they were put out with the stallion on June 11th last year and filly was born on 14th May and colt was born on Tues - 22nd May
