For those of you who actually rent and own your own fields, just a quick question really.

What size is your field?
How much monthly do you pay for it?
How many horses do you have on there?

And go!:D

i pay £110 per month for 3 acres but i have a stable/field shelter and a tack/feed shed. I keep 1 horse on it with horses next door alot of the time but he is quite happy when they are not there. I am allowed upto 3 horses but i dont think the field would cope without strict management. Also i like bringing him in at night in the winter and during the day in the summer.

5 acres £300pcm, 2 horses out 24/7. Water but no elec or shelter :-( Can have 3 if so wish but it's marsh so floods easily and is very boggy at present :-(

own my own field but we rent out about 3/4 acres to the local riding school for 45 pounds a week for anything up to 8 horses depending on weather

Have 3 acres and rent an additional 3 for £15 a week. No limits to what I can put on there as have had them for 16 years (farmer won't sell them to me tho').

I have 2 horses on 6 acres (one acre of which has 2 stables and sandschool on plus couple of stores so really 5 acres of grazing plus couple of paddocks either side of school).

£10 a week, so £40 a month for 1.5 - 2 acres with 2 ponies on it. We built our own shelter and paid for all of the fencing to be re-done before we moved in. No water or electricity but dosent really matter as its just behind our house.

£15 per week per horse for 20 acres, which is split into 3 or 4 fields currently.
5 horses out 24/7. Water, but no electricity. We are looking to buy our own field shelter soon.

£290/month for 5.5 acres of very, very good grazing for summer months, and 30 acres of good grazing for winter months. Water to both, mains electric to summer grazing. Storage container. Trailer parking on farmyard. Very good value for this part of the country (Buckinghamshire). 5 horses.

3 large ponies/small horses on 2.5 acres with 2 stables, hardstanding, trailer parking, sheds, water, inc water in fields, solar lighting etc for £200 pcm, in an expensive, very horsey part of Essex.

£110.00 per month for 5 Acres, 4 Stables, Tack room, Feed room, Hay barn, Lorry parking, Water & Electricity. Fencing all done by us as well as muck heap clearance and all maintenance, no menage though which is proving to be a sticking point for me now as the big horse is out competing a lot and I now need to be able to consistently work him all year round. I have been there 6 years though and the land owner does not mind if I put a surface down, and to be honest I would much rather do this than move to a 'Livery yard'! Just got to save up some money now..............;)

I don't know how many acres, but we rent a yard with 5 fields,2 stables, tack shed, hay shed, water and school for 2 ponies and it costs me £100 a month. We don't do any maintenance as the owner prefers to do it.

errrrr i did have 5 acres for 4 horses (well 2 horses 2 ponies) at £90 a month then i added another horse and manage to bag another 3 possibly 4 acres at £120 a month, no water or electric and we do our own fencing etc , have 1 huge stable and couple of lock up containers and a rotted caravan for tea making:) cheap and basic but i love it;)

3.5 Acres, £300 a year, at the moment 2 horses, possibly will go up to 3 soon :)

ETS; Have seperated it into a winter field and a summer field. Winter field has a field shelter. Also have 2 stables. :) Have another acre which isn't fenced off, but hopefully will be next year as it drains excellently! :)

Before I moved, I had 3 arches, with a massive barn, container as a tack/store room, electric, lights, water etc for £150 per month! had 2 horses there!

I gave it up to a girl was moved 4 ponies in but also had 4 stables built in the barn, so they charged her another £50 a month per stable that she had! she thought that this was cheap still, I think its expensive!

any chance people can add which area they are renting in please?

i rent in essex but am on livery yard-have my own fields on the farm (4 acres)plus extra if needed and 2 stables on the yard, i have too much grazing and would like 1 or 2 year round liveries out at night in summer out during day in winter.

i get my own summer fields cos no-one else will walk to them (its inly 15 mins there and back)

i pay £90 per horse 2 maneges, a round pen, a play arena, 100 acres off road hacking, owners live on site, trailer/lorry storage, new electric fencing, electric on yard plus water and some storage-more storage avaliable at extra cost

pm if anyone interested

6 acres with 1 horse and 1 pony on it but could have more. Water but no other facilities but adjoins my land where they have access to a shelter. They are on about an acre through summer and I take hay off rest, or would do this year if it would stop raining!:( I pay £ 600 per year .

A real variety of prices here, I guess much of the difference is to do with the area and standard of facilities.

A little more elaboration may make the thread more helpful to others perhaps?

1 main field of about 7 acres with natural water source and shelter, two 1 acre paddocks, 20m x 40m school, 5 stables (rubber matting, lighting etc), great hacking - £250 a month, just me and my 3 horses. I adore it.

I rent just over 3 acres for £80 pounds a month I only have my one horse on there at the moment but could have more. He has other horses either side of him and a trotting track around all the fields. The land owner has bought all the fields and sectioned them off into 4 3 acre plots. He has a shelter in his field with a door on so can be used as a stable. Running water. Very good grazing and post and rail fencing. I love it there.

3.5 acres approx. Water supplied- we supplied stables etc there was nothing there when we took it on for £100 per month.
I have 3 horses and a shitland tbh thats too many as its clay soil and suffers in the wet. Grass wise its about perfect.
