What do you wear? I am considering taking my young coloured to a biggish local show next weekend, he will be shown trimmed and plaited if this makes a difference. I have always shown mountain and moorlands so have always worn tweed, is this correct in coloured classes or do I have to wear navy? Also does the horse have to wear a plain bridle or is a sparkly browband allowed? thanks!

You show to type, so if your colored is a hunter type then turn out to hunter style ie. Flat plain hunter double bridle, plaited & pulled. Rider would be tweed.

If colored is riding horse type then shown as a riding horse or cob type shown in cob tack etc. :)

If you are showing as a hunter type then wouldn't be correct to have a sparkly browband.

Ahh ok thanks! He is probably more of a hunter type than riding horse, being a welsh part bred has a fair bit of bone so it looks like its the tweed which is great as I think the navy may now be a bit on the snug side as its been in the wardrobe for years!

And plain havana bridle with flat noseband it is, best get practising!.
