I have a field I have rented out and have now got back, when your tenants leave do you make them take the muck heap with you mine has left leaving 18 months worth of horse poo from six horses in three large piles, would you get her to dispose of it or pay for someone to do it yourself? I have a tenant waiting to go in but unsure what do to with the poo!

If it wasn't agreed that the tenant pays up front, I would pay for it myself. Next time you could make it a condition of the tenancy that they pay for removal when they leave.

We rent a smallholding, & although its not in our agreement that we have to move ours when we leave, i would expect to do it anyway. Generally your meant to leave somewhere as you found it when you moved in, so if there wasnt a much heap then there shouldnt be when you leave.

Agree depends what your agreement said & whether there was a deposit which allowed you to deduct monies for any breaches.

Well I thought it would be common courtesy but not with them, there was no contract at the time, will definitely be for my next tenants! No deposit taken either unfortunately! Another member of the family was dealing with them and I have just taken over.
