My baby has been in light work for around 5 weeks now, she lives out 24/7 and is on restricted grazing as she is a very good doer. She has lost a bit of weight and looks better for it but still a bit more to go. The grass we have has obviously passed its best but theres still alot there, just not as lush as it was.
I understand she is young still and obviously am building fitness from nothing so understandably she does tire easily but is improving all the time. I take her hacking for about 40 mins built it up, its a circuit) most days (she has 2 - 3 off out of 7) we only walk.
So my question is would you start feeding for a bit of energy in relation to the fact that shes now doing a bit of work as opposed to doing zilch in the field? if so what would/do you feed a very good doer (cob/native type) who is in work?
Thanks
