i have a new traditional and want any tip of keeping clean/ getting clean and keeping in good condition etc. plus any show tips ;-)
so all those with traditionals or hairies all advice please

I'm a plaited and trimmed typr of girl, but the lady you need to speak to on here is Theresa_F, she's got a hairy called Stinky!! She will be able to fill you in on pig oil. I won't steal her thunder, but I know she uses it on Stinky's feathers!

A tip from me, I use fairy washing up liquid, and ariel stain remover gel to get my little mans white bits gleaming! Have you got any photos? xx

Keeping clean?? haha good luck with that!!!

If you have a long mane I find keeping it plaits helps keep it clean and tangle free. Use loads of detangler on mane,tail and feathers as it helps keep the mud off.

Other then that mine is kept out 24/7 for as long as possible and is turned out every day - she has a fibre based diet and Formula 4 Feet as a supplement - is always fit, healthy and shiny.

Never let them out and keep them rugged and bandaged in !

Just keep on top of them really don't over brush them and just keep them conditioned up. Pig oil is great if you can tolerate using and applying it.
