Hi all, I'm new to the forum and suddenly realised that I haven't introduced myself!
As you've probably guessed I'm Penny and I own Henry.
Henry is a 17 year old TB gelding, and as you may have read from my first posts, I bought him in very poor condition about 3 weeks ago.
He's my only horse at the moment, though not the first horse I've owned. I previously had a 6 year old ISH gelding I'd owned since he was 3, though had to sell him as I also had my first horse, my 14.1hh cob X TB who sadly had to be PTS last summer at the grand old age of 34. The cost of keeping the 2 of them, at livery, with my old mares ever mounting costs just proved to be too much. I missed my gelding and was sad to part with him but I never once regretted the decision, which allowed me to have one last fantastic year with my old girl, who I'd owned for years.
I'm unsure of what my horsey future holds, I may find that Henry finds it difficult coming back into work, if so then he would be kept as a companion and I would begin looking around for another riding horse, or this time next year the forum may be inundated (and possibly slightly bored!!) with pictures of Henry and I doing all sorts!
So that's about it really, I don't really do anything exciting and my only goal at this moment in time is to have a happy, healthy up to weight horse......
I live with my (very patient!) husband, and our 18 month old daughter, Poppy, our cat, Portia; and Mr Magoo and Rambo my polecats!
