YO was at a christmas dinner so I offered to bring the girls in today. Thought it would be the usual, Juno would come plodding up followed by the rest, easy as pie. Of course that ends up with me standing in the middle of the field after 40 minutes as the 20yo and my 10yo leap around squealing and squeaking like big babies while the actual babies were beside me watching them like they were aliens:D At first I thought they were being big goofs because I was wearing a new hat (super scary) but when the 1yo and the 3yo decide to snooze on each of my shoulders I knew they were taking the p***.....ah horses, always so easy:rolleyes: Anyone else's the same???

Yes, we brought ours in before it got dark today (very unusual). The older pair tried to come in, in the wrong order, I had to go the fetch the Draft horse, who then decided to come by herself and sister nearly got squashed by the Appy trying to move out of the way, so that bossy Draft could come first as normal. Then the youngsters in the other field also decided to try to come in the wrong order and nearly squashed sis. They are usually are very sensible at coming in time but that must be because they are ready for their tea and today we offended them by being early.

Sadly as they they get older they get worse mine 23 hes being so naughty lately. You can hack him down the m25 wouldn't blink he nannies other horses manners normally excellent. Hes now a loon to hack wouldn't let anyone come out with me now cant keep him tied up undoes it and walk off tips over wheel barrow only when full and if you think your hoseing his leg you have another thing coming. A lot is my fault hes always been a bossy horse but i kept down not letting get away with anything now hes got old he gets away with far to much lately. All I think is i could lose him at any time so don't like to tell him off now.

33 yo knocked me over and dragged me up the field on my face the other week at canter while big 6 yo ex racer ambled along quietly not stepping on me and met me at the gate looking concerned.

It was so unlike them which was funny never seen them move so fast, honestly thought it would take 20 mins at best with the two youngsters but nooooo complete opposite. Thought dad was gonna pass out cos he left the potatoes on too:D

My old lady (35) is not averse to a hoon in the school on her way through when she gets to make her own way from the paddock. How lovely though to hear about all those veterans clearly feeling really well enough to move to keep warm.
