Thoughts for Jess please.

Good luck Jess. Get better soon. Fingers crossed for you today :)

She's in the right place, Just recently an ex-horse of mine was in Newmarket and the surgeon and nurses were brilliant.

Ok quick update.

Jess is now in recovery...infections flushed out and now its healing time.

Will know alot more info tomoz when i call the hospital after morning rounds.

The main thing is the surgeon says she now stands a great chance of making a full recovery.

How happy am i??

Thanks for all your vibes and wishes..i'm sure they helped loads and Jess will appreciate them too.

Well managed to go today..Saturday..shes not been eating well due to an antibiotic thats a paste which is orally administered...i took a bag of carrots and apples and a pack of polos.

she scoffed the carrots hehe....

she comes off the paste in a couple of days so hopefully her appettite will soon be back to normal.

Im hoping ill be able to go bring her home on 22nd March as vet seems to think shes making very good progress.

Once again thanks for all your kind remarks and wishes.

My heart went out to you when reading this as I know what you are going through. My boy ended up at Newmarket Equine Hospital and stayed there for about a month, I was visiting every Saturday and Sunday.

She is in the best possible place! I cannot praise all of the people who work there as if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have my boy with me now (he fractured his elbow and now has a plate and 14 screws holding it together).

It has been a long road to recovery but I am pleased to say that he is now out in a small turnout area and I am riding him out in walk. Even after I brought him home the hospital have been great, there have been many questions along the way and it doesn't matter how silly they seem they have always been very helpful and I have always felt that it was not a problem to keep asking all these questions.

Good luck with Jess and keep us informed of her progress.
