Thoughts on my friesian filly ...

The photos of her looking quite scruffy at the end of the album are from when I went to view her and first got her home & the photos of me on a friesian is her mum :)

I was just wondering what you all thought of her, conformation wise etc :)
Also this seems like a stupid question but can you tell if she will be 'chunky'? Alot of people have commented on her shoulders and said she will be a big chunky mare, just wondering if they are correct in saying this?

Her name is Emma, I last measured her a few months ago at 14.3 & she is going to be an all rounder for me, she is so laid back if not a little bit in love with herself and arrogent :P Lol. I'm really excited to start riding her ... only 2 & a bit years to wait ...

My laptop is being slow so I only looked at a few, but I like her! I'm a sucker for a friesian :D:D:D

Conformationally, in my very unprofessional opinion, she looks nice, the only thing I did see is she looks a tad back-at-the-knee, but as an allrounder, I wouldn't worry about :)

Conformationally if I was being picky from a breeders point of view, I'd say she's going to be more towards the modern type like her mum, I wouldn't say she's back at the knee at all, but she is quite narrow through the girth with quite an upright shoulder, maybe slightly long in the back which isn't unusual for the breed, she's also got a slight ewe neck which can be changed with proper training when she's old enough - make sure if she's stabled at night put her hay/haylage on the floor/ground feeder to help build up the right muscles not in a haynet.
She's very sweet looking though and is going to make a nice horse, I'd say she'll be around 16.1Hh - my little friesian yearling filly is about the same height as yours and we reckon will end up somewhere round there! Mine is pretty gawky again now though and very fluffy, they do go through some pretty gawky gangly phases from now until 4 or 5 - so be warned!!:D:p

Alexart, my conformation knowledge must not be too bad because I had noticed myself the things you pointed although wasn't sure if they would correct themselves with age.
She is perfect in my eyes anyway ... well except from the ginger bits in her mane & tail, I hate them, Lol!
