My saddler came out in the cold and the snow to fit a saddle to my horse yesterday!

As I have freakishly long legs, as my general saddle i have to use a jump saddle!

I did have a VSD, but seeing as it stands for "very slightly dressage" and I jump and have long legs my saddle was a no go.

So after trying a few on Java we found a Pessoa Legacy XP3 and and an Albion K2 Jumping Saddle.

Anyone have any experience with Pessoa's or any opinions, I will mainly be using it for Showjumping and the odd working hunter, but I dont do dressage so we are fine there!

Also if anyone has any experience with the Albion K2 Jumping Saddle

I have got the Albion K2 GP - Love it!
Looks smart, and keeps my bum in the right spot.
Can ride in it all day and still feels like an armchair (This may have something to do with the shape of my horse however :p)

In my experience, the longer leg benefits from a stirrup bar placed further back than in a jump saddle. You can get these made without breaking your budget, and to be honest many BRAND quality saddles are made in Walsall anyway.

I have long legs. I bit the bullet on ill fitting generic saddles and had a custom made by Lavinia Mitchell. I still only paid just below 1k for a gel seat, amazing sadlle which fitted my horse and my ridiculously long legs.

Hope you find a sympathetic saddler!!!

I mainly do jumping hence the jump saddle but just the knee rolls on mine are very straight cut and it has a very deep seat so with the jump saddle my knees should be firmly in the knee rolls giving me better grip and leg position
I have my stirrups short as my horse works better
