If that horse was near I might view it but it does not look happy as not right to me
However it’s the type of thing that might feel very different when you were on top.
He jumps a bit like Tatts did Tatts was barking mad and hard to ride but he turned into a very safe jumper .

There is, but now I know the second one is a Pro, and a Pro dealer, it raises huge questions for me about whether the horse is being well ridden which is disguising a problem, and if not why the devil it's up for £15k not £25k when it's a good looking 8 year old jumping those heights.

The horse dosen't look to be going great in the second video IMHO

Horse lookst to be fairly crooked in the photos, and the right hind lands odd.

I'd be asking the vet to take a very close look at it, if I were buying.

That would certainly explain things. I didn't look closely at the second video, it was just obvious how much better the horse went under a pro. The trouble is that strong riding can hide so much. I hope the horse lands on his feet somewhere.

Regardless it's not one to buy because I'd imagine it would either need extensive reschooling, a lot of veterinary input or both, sadly, as he's obviously a very honest horse who looks to be a really kind animal and trying really hard.

obviously a very talented horse to jump clear despite NEVER having its head! and not a bad rider as she puts him on a nice stride to all bar one fence at a decent height......IMO she looks terrified of him bucking after the fence (and he also rakes down in to her hand several times) and hence doesn't give his head at all ever!

Very odd technique and lack of rhythm in both videos. Yes some horses do have a unique technique, but the head tossing, tail swishing, leg changing, and landing on all fours suggests to me a pain or lameness issue.

I’ll pop my two pence in here. And without saying much about the riding as once upon a time a video of my sale advert came up and was torn apart.

I think this is a mismatched partnership. I think they’ve identified that and are now rectifying with sales livery. I think maybe they saw a lovely and extremely generous young horse for a young rider, but have found as many people do that there is a very large gap in ability/talent/raw skill/nice nature and actually producing/continuing the education of the unfinished product.

I think the result is the rider has maybe lost confidence or their “rhythm” and the horse has decided that head up and avoid/take over is the best course, which I think shows a generosity of character. We all know that horses being ridden upside down, or in evasion can then get physically out of whack hence the strange action behind? Hopefully it can be sorted before it becomes permanent. I actually think a lot of horses with “big problems” down the line (mentally/physically) could be intervened with at hopefully this point their lives could be a lot better. I hope this chap lands on his feet, looks like they are in a cycle of pulling against each other, upping the ante and escalation. Rider looks worried to let him have his head, horse adapts, becomes extremely hollow. But if it’s the young riders first “big horse”, or rides dramatically different they might not have developed the tool kit to adapt/or handle small issues and this the result.

Nero/The Dark Emperor jumped with his head up. In this case though, it just looked to me that his head wasn't being released. (Sorry, I know it's an old thread but it's come up on my news feed bit!)

I agree on both counts.

As I'd shown before on the forum there are a fair few horses jumping 1.10 -1.20m that are that price.

15k is a pretty standard price for that type of horse.

The ad states a couple of times that it is good in the ring or round a course. That would make me wonder if it’s a git at home? Looks like it’s liable to take off after a fence from the first vid hence she won’t give him his head. I’ve seen a few who are unjumpable at home. But focus in competition.
