Still looking for a little box, what do you think to this one ?

I only have one horse who is about 16.2hh tops a tb so didn't want anything overly big.

Jane_lou, yes its very similar do you think that my laad would be ok on it size wise. He's a typical Tb not very chunky?

I'll see if I can get to see it over the weekend, but why can't it be nearer too me

Can't remember what the head room is in mine, it would be worth asking them to measure it before you went to see it. Obviously the one I added is forward facing, the advantage of this is you get lots of storage in the luton! We have taken 2 eventing with 2 saddles each, numerous boots, numnahs, bridles, rugs, water etc etc etc and it all fitted in!

Both posted are fine. The only thing to be careful with with the VW's is that some of the older ones can be a bit gutless. The Renaults are nice, aslong as it is a quality build, as they only have 1 axle behind, so can sometims be a little bit flimsy if not built well.... and Renaults are expensive to get parts for... I wish the VW had been for sale when I was looking! Excellent price!

Yes, my VW is a bit gutless up hills but actually motors along quite well with one in, mine is an e-reg and as I said identical to the one I posted. They are built by GC Smiths and really solid and everything travels really well in it - even a bad traveller got her confidence in it. It could be the picture but there actually looks less length for the horse in the renault?

we have a Renault the same as the one posted and are going to be selling it once it has had a respray in the spring!, ours weights 2.28 ton unladen, I can get my big 17 h boy in there and our stuff and it's fine. Yes I can get both of mine in there, a 17h and 16h cob but it will be well over weight. At the end of the day it's up to the person who buys it if they want to risk getting caught being over weight. They are fab little lorry’s though, we haven’t had trouble getting parts for ours over the last few years. It's fab on diesel and is cheap to tax and insure too.

We also have a renault master 3.5 ton. It has been a fantastic little box , but now that we have 2 horses (15.2 and 16.hh) I would be well over weight if I travelled them both at once- although it has plenty room for them both. I am now going to have to get something bigger and am very upset to be parting with my renault! You would be fine with just the one big horse- they are so easy to handle etc.
