To make it look like the horses are suitable for a novice as they are being ridden by a novice in the adverts.
 
Oh dear! I do believe that is the owner of the dealers also riding.... the ex competition ISH looks very shuffly and a little navicular like...

Novices don't produce novice rides, and that girl can't work a horse properly (or even sit a canter).

I must say, I did wonder if she'd stuck a newbie up on it to prove that it was novice proof, but the same girl is riding in all videos dating back a year, even when they're being shown over fences etc. I think that is the dealer herself.

I had yo stop watching that one half way through, the poor horse i desperately unsound and is slipping on his back end horribly.

I dont understand why someone running a business would think these videos are acceptable to try to sell a horse with. :rolleyes:

I think that would be very counter productive. Besides most riders who ride like this do so because they don't know any other way and dont know how they look when riding.

Video made me smile because the horse's front legs look makes it look like its a pantomime horse :p
 
Saw the video on Facebook as am part of the group too but I also thought eeekkk! The rider really didn't do that sweet little mare any favours at all. Someone commented 'painful to watch' and I completely agree.
 
One of the most awful examples of riding I have seen in a long time. I am still trying to work out what the hell that trot was all about....

Good for you in saying something. People seemed quite interested in the mare though so hopefully poor thing won't have to put up with that for much longer.

The dealer website isnt great either, they could have least cleaned some of those horses or even tidied the field up! Sheeeeshhh
 
I am confused re dealers. Is it that the buyer is a bit too stupid to spot a good horse or is the dealer too dumb/dodgy to offer up a good horse to buy? Either way it is depressing for buyer, but especially for the poor old horse stuck in the middle of it all.

Well, if the horse tolerates that sort of riding then, frankly, it'll tolerate a LOT. It did make for excruciating viewing though...
