Rosie I bought in begining of June, (ex racer) thoughts were to reschool her and get her going the way I want to, and then as I am in my final year of being a mature student lol , turn her away from halfway through November til end of January (as will be fairly busy with assignments and dissertation
) schooling so far has been going great, she missed a week when she was slightly lame and a few days either side of having her back done twice, didn't ride her for two weeks as had no saddle as delay with saddler, though did continue the lunging, had the saddle back worked her for about a week schooling and lunging, then she went slightly lame (vet thinks cos of splint on hindleg), vet says to give her a month off, then bring her slowly back into work to see if lameness returns.. my thoughts are , this is going to be October I am bringing her back into work which will give me around 5 weeks (if she stays sound!) before I planned on turning her away while busy with Uni, so was wondering, is it worth bringing her back into work for this short of time,? am I messing her around to much ,or should I just leave her off til the end of January and start fresh again?
