I wondered if i could have your thoughts on my pony. Over a month ago her leg swelled up, we had the leg scanned and no tendon or ligament damage. she was rested but there was still no significant improvement after a couple of weeks. we called the vet again and now it had been a number of weeks since she had been worked and the vet thought it now looked like it was a foot problem that was calling lameness and not the leg. i must say at this point, she was only lame on a circle and not on a straight line. so a couple of weeks of box rest, reduced rations meant she was now looking slimmer. she is now grazing for 1 hour a day and i walked her out last night. im not sure if i am panicking (i always worry) but she just didnt feel right. what would you do now? perservere with walking out and see if it improves? or do you think the vet could have diagnosed it wrongly and perhaps it wasn't laminitus at all?
all thoughts greatly appreciated, as i'm not sure if i am worrying too much.
oh forgot to add, she has been seen by the farrier.
