It was a pretty much dry day despite the weather reports. Some classes had 40+ entries so a lot was running late. I took my New Forest 3 year old in and his class was 1hour 30 min late and despite having not shown him for 2 years he was placed second! Whoop

My OH took him in as I can't run due to an old riding injury (OH has only ever shown once in his life before and certainly not at county level!)

Really pround of the pair of them.

Anyone else got any TCS report?

Oh my! Well done, massive congratulations. Your horse has a lovely kind eye, very sweet. Your OH looks very dapper too - what an achievement to say that it was his first time. That is amazing. Have you got any more photos? xx :)

I do on my camera will have to upload them this evening. But thanks for the comments. I am very proud of his impecable behaviour (the pony not OH!) he acted like a pro! Well worth going to the show as long as you can put up with the lateness of the classes (only because they are so full!) but amazing vibe from the show!

You're welcome - credit given where credit is due and all that jazz! LOL, I imagine the OH behaved - otherwise suffer the wrath of the Mrs - that's probably the reason why he did so well LOL! ;)

You will have to post them on this thread later - I love a good old nosey, and will look forward to seeing them. My friend has a new forest, and she has toyed with the idea of showing hers - it will be nice to see how you turn them out. xx

Another who had a good day: my 2 year old ID filly Indigo Summer Song won the 2 & 3 year old ID class - her very first time off the farm. The other filly I took (a 3 year old) didn't place - a bit surprising as she graded RID on a very high score but - hey-ho! But the 2nd placed horse (a 3 year old gelding) was one of my home-breds - sold as a weanling. He'd been produced at Robert Oliver's yard so looked VERY smart. A 1st and 2nd for my stallion!:D

Oh wow! congratulations guys thats superb news! Any photos? Did the classes run to time any better?

That's Indigo Summer Song - aged 2 - 1st in the ID Youngstock (2 & 3 year olds.)

Don't know about other rings but ours was too MUCH to time - we had a one class 'gap' to get mare & foal back to the lorry and the two fillies back to the ring - it wasn't long enough and we nearly missed the class!
